NJR linked PROMs data (Patient Reported Outcome Measures)
The National Joint Registry Research Sub-Committee and the Information Centre have established a protocol whereby researchers can request datasets that link information on surgical procedures contained on the NJR to patient related outcome data collected through the national PROMs study.
This includes preoperative and 6 month postoperative data on pain and function gathered continuously since 2010. There are no deadlines for submission and data requests will be considered on an ongoing basis by the IC and the NJR research subcommittee.
How to access linked NJR/PROMs data
To access NJR linked PROMs, the application and review processes of both the NJR and the NHS Information Centre must be followed. The process is depicted in this flow chart.
