NJR Clinician Feedback

NJR Clinician Feedback is available only to those orthopaedic surgeons in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man who undertake hip and knee replacement surgery, have submitted data to the NJR, and are registered NJR users.

Clinician Feedback is designed to support assessment of clinical practice by enabling surgeons to understand and interpret NJR data in a wider context than is currently possible through NJR ReportsOnline. It improves the availability and accessibility of NJR data relating to the care that surgeons have delivered or that has been delivered in their name. Surgeons are able to view NJR reports and indicators about procedures that have been recorded in their name and analyse this within the context of hospital, sector (NHS and independent sector healthcare) and national benchmarks.

This now includes a standardised Consultant Level Report for use as part of the appraisal or revalidation process. This downloadable PDF report was last updated on 15 June 2015 to include the latest annual activity data (financial year 14/15) and outcomes analysis. Look for it in the 'General reports' area.

NJR Clinician Feedback is a secure system and requires users to contact the NJR Service Desk ( in order to obtain a password. A hospital email address must be used.

NJR ReportsOnline

ReportsOnline provides information to surgeons, hospital data managers and suppliers on case totals, case mix and implant usage. It offers the opportunity to view and download detailed and summarised reports on:

  •  the procedures performed
  •  implant usage
  •  patients (available to surgeons only)

The reports can be accessed through the normal data entry page and can be printed or downloaded as CSV or XML files.

Instructions on how to use, view and download the reports are available from the related documents area. Note that you must have a valid username and password to access ReportsOnline and details of how to obtain this can be found in the guides. Alternatively, surgeons may wish to contact their hospital data administrator.
